Old palace closing

As many of you would know by now. Old Palace girl's school will be closing in 2 years time.
There's been a scramble by parents to find new school for their girls now and almost all the schools near by are now full .

We are left with 2 choices
Woldingham school
Laurels school in Crystal palace

Does anyone has any knowledge on them? Which one would you choose?
Also do you recommend any other schools near Croydon, maybe upto 30mins journey time?

We as parents are stressed out as we were only informed 3 weeks into the start of new school year!!!

Thank you

I know a dad whose daughter has been at Woldingham for several years, and he is delighted with the school. (He also says it is immensely better than the private school his son was going to.). This family are based in Croydon. Sorry, I do not know anything about Laurels school. Sutton High School for girls has a good reputation.

Good luck with the move. It must be stressful. I know someone whose daughter is in Y11 at Old Palace but I do not yet know what their plan is.

Sorry, no first-hand feedback but hopefully this is a little useful and will bump your post.

Thank you so much @TimeRider for your reply.

That's a bit heartening to know that they are happy with Woldingham school.
We also liked the school and it's vast grounds but wanted to know more about it from someone who actually goes there or has been to that school.

We went for a tour and my daughter loved the school as it's so much bigger and better (facilities wise) when compared to old palace.

Yes it's been a stressful time , hopefully things will work out 🤞

I hear good things about Woldingham.

I live relatively locally to the Laurels and I don't know a single family with girls there (I do for the Cedars). I've also not heard anything negative about it, but the fact that there is just no local talk about it I think says something.

Thank you @MrHopsPortal for the reply.

Yes it does sound strange that being local there's no news about Laurels but you do hear about Woldingham.
