ISEB preparation- can you prepare?

My Dc is in Y6 at a prep school, only they don’t seem to be doing much preparing for ISEBs.

We were told the DC should do an hour of English and maths on Atom a week over the Summer. That seems to be it. They are not having mock interviews, no Atom time at school or specific familiarisation lessons. It’s difficult to do much with them myself as they’re at school 6 days a week and dont get home til 7pm.

I gave my DC an 11+ English questionnaire to complete and he got 4/18 - despite being in the top English set.

I am starting to feel very concerned and would love to know if this is normal and what other prep schools are doing.

DD’s school is using Bond to prepare. They have practice lessons timetabled in each week at school.

I've booked an Atom Learning tutor to help my DS once per week. We tried a "normal" tutor but found they didn't have the computer based experience we need to pass the adaptive test.
