….book a holiday for February half term, when the offers for our first choice come out on the Friday just before…?

(yes I know, first world problem upon first world problem).

I’m just wondering if there is a reason we might need to be here, eg if we don’t get our first choice. I can’t think of any reason but never having been through it I don’t know!
None of the schools we’re applying for make exploding offers, thank god, so it’s not like we’d have to make a mad dash to a school with a cheque in hand to secure a place.

Would be interested to hear from others who’ve been through the process.

We skipped school on Friday for a week away during the Feb half term. Got offers for all schools in the Friday morning, all of them acceptance deadline is in March after the national offer day. Most of the offer holder events are in the last week of February. Don't see any point to be on site during half term...

And the deposit payment is via bank transfer which you can do it online overseas anyway,
if anything you need to be worried probably prepare a scan copy of birth certificate while you away... although I don't think it is necessary at all.

@BarqsHasBite , many of the admissions teams take a break during half term too as they are exhausted. If you are in SW London nothing really moves until after national offers day (1st March) if you are placed on a Wait list Enjoy the break as it's the most strung out long process.

It’s all email really and as Preplex says Bank transfers can be done anywhere. Go for it.

I forgot about the Habs entrance exam for my DS because it came so long after the rest. Only realised when neighbour rang to offer a lift the night before ... worked out just fine.
