AQA GCSE Geography - marking?

DC scored highly on Geography GCSE papers 1 and 2, but not so well on paper 3. He got a 7 overall, and was 3 points below an 8. We now have the answer paper, but not the mark scheme. I do have last year's mark scheme as a general guide. To my untrained eye, some of DC's marks seem fair, others harsh.

Does anyone know whether the whole of paper 3 would have been marked by an individual examiner? Or would each individual examiner have only marked one question or section?

Asked DH who marked all three papers and was a lead examiner for one this year. He says likely all one person for each paper but not the same one person for all papers (if that makes sense).

Ah, ok, thanks. Different to English then, as others have said English examiners work on single questions. Good to know.
