I beleive agents get referral commisons for placing pupils in private schools EG Radley etc? Is that correct?
Do the prep schools also take a commsion for onward referals to senior private schools?

I've never heard of this and DH and I have both worked in this sector.

If you are asking if prep schools receive a commission for any of their pupils going on to a specific private senior school - no - not as far as I am aware.
You are correct that agents receive a commission from senior schools.

Only for non-top tier boarding schools

we looked at using agents, and didn’t in the end

we were told that they do receive a commission from the placed school but that is the same for everyone and which school therefore doesn’t play a part
