Rugby secondary schools

Hi, I'm planning on relocating to my hometown of Rugby after 20 years living in various places. I was wondering if anyone could help me with secondary schools in the town of Rugby. I went to Bilton High in the 90's and my brother went to Sheriff so I have some knowledge but it is very out of date! Which schools are doing well these days? I had hoped on moving to the new area of Houlton and for my children to attend the new school there but they are already oversubscribed for the year my eldest would be going in (they haven't even finished building the town yet?!!) he'll be starting year 7 in September in our current town in Wales. What are Bilton, Harris and Ashlawn like these days? I've read Ofsted reports but just wondering what locals and parents think of the schools? Thanks so much in advance for any advice.

I’m not from there but do have a close friend who has just sent their child to school there. Avon Valley, Harris, Rugby Free seem like good options at the min. Houlton I think has just had a change of head I believe otherwise mainly good - few mixed reports. ashlawn had a dip a couple of years ago but improving now and it has always been historically a good school. Bilton not sure about.
a lot of the good schools I believe are really oversubscribed so worth studying the admissions criteria (and considering what area you move to) as a lot comes down to distance to school etc as to where your child will get placed.
