How to see overall marks for GCSEs?

Hi I keep seeing that people know their marks for their GCSEs - ie 3 marks away from an 8 etc. How is this possible? I don't see anything on the exam slip that shows this? Thanks

Ask school. Some results slips come with them printed on, some don't, but school will have them. Then you can compare with the published boundaries.
