Secondary State Schools in Oxford

We are forced to move to Oxford quite unexpectedly and I am looking at schools for my Y9 daughter. Is it practical for her to commute to Bartholomew school from city centre?

Is she in Bartholomew now? If not,.I would not expect to find places in good schools in y 9...

From the city centre? While there's a bus, it's a half hour journey when there's no traffic.

Also, as above, not sure if it's oversubscribed? Nearly all of the secondary schools in the city are, with the exception of Greyfriar's.
