I’ve always hoped to send my daughter to Grey Coat but I’ve heard a few things recently that have concerned me. Firstly, I’ve heard that pupils work is not marked because staff don’t have time. Secondly, like most schools they are struggling with teacher recruitment and some kids have had more than 5 teachers for one subject this academic year.

Are there any parents out there with kids currently at Grey Coat who could give an honest review?

To answer your question, we have had maybe 2-3 teaches that have left (she is in year 9) at the end of the year maybe a couple of cover teacher. However, the school maintains consistency by keeping the same head of year as students progress through the school. As my daughter transitions to the upper school, her head of year is going with her, ensuring a consistent experience. We've found this continuity reassuring, and the school's strong emphasis on homework and discipline which aligns perfectly with us. Overall, it's an excellent school choice for us and have applied for our other daughter
