Reference Year 9

If a pupil applies to a secondary school for Year 9 - who writes the reference? The head teacher or the form teacher? Many thanks in advance

Is this private school? State schools don't need references.
I would think it would be whatever your current (prep?) school decides to do.

Confirmed: Prospective school requests reference from head - DD's current school wants form teacher to write it instead...will that be a problem for her application?

Doubt it would be an issue, presumably head can countersign if needs be.
