Hi
Can anyone recommend a study skills/ revision skills session for a year 10 boy, going into year 11?

He doesn't need a subject specific tutor but I think he could really Benefit from someone teaching him how to revise and study more effectively.

I was Thinking of a few sessions over summer. is this a thing? Would love recommendations.

Thanks!

Hi I don’t think you need to get someone in. So much advice and lots of tips online. Needs to find what works best for him.

Our daughters both had a day of study skills sessions from a visiting speaker at their school.

Multisensory is the way to go. Good you are planning. Those different coloured postcards are good so that he can have subject specific colours for bullet point facts etc.
Our youngest produced loads of these along with smaller word definition cards edged with a specific colour. She also used mind maps etc.

I’d spend the money on resources/ comfy seating/ motivational rewards instead.
