Hello! I live in Cobham. My 11 year old daughter goes to ACS international School and she has been now accepted to year 7 in Cobham Free School. She is begging me to leave her one more year in ACS and then get her into Cobham Free School on year 8. What is your advice? She has been admitted now and I guess it will be difficult to get her in again in level 8? Also I am thinking this is the first grade of middle school so is best to get her in now?

What is your advice? I am wondering if to let her stay one more year in her school and move her in year 8. We are new to the British system as we have been in the American System for the past years.

@Rasuarezsan , you dd will only be able to go to Cobham free in year 8 if she is top of the waiting list and someone else leaves at the end of year 7. You are totally at the mercy of someone leaving and no one else moving closer to the school and taking your WL place or having criteria that move them above you on the admissions policy.
Think your dd lucky to have the place in Sept, if you decline it will be snapped up by someone else on the current WL.

@Rasuarezsan , also to add if you went on the WL this Sept you would have to accept a place whenever it was offered to you so say it was offered in mid Oct your dd would have to start 14 days later and you would have to withdraw her from ACS to start at CFS in Nov despite paying the fees for the term.

I am interested in this school for DS in 2024.
Is it selective? Does it have good behaviour? Cannot find much on it

@yumumsun , read the admissions policy on the school website, it's places are in demand, for entry into year 7 it's done via the Surrey county council admissions form.
