I don't have a child at WCGS, so am mainly commenting to bump your.post. I know a family whose son finished WCGS a few years ago and now works for a top accounting firm. His WCGS friends are also doing very well, including through graduate schemes. This boy and his family were delighted with the school and WCGS certainly has a good reputation re. teaching and extra-curricular activities. These views are all relative of course, and what works for one child may not work for another. (And of course there's more to education than academic results.) Personally, I really liked the school when I visited it and know several high-performing children who were very disappointed to not get a place this year. Hopefully someone will come along to share more specific information.

Also bumping for traffic for you.

My son (now 1st year of uni) applied there many moons ago. We had three grammars on the form: st Olave’s, Wilson’s, and WCGS. I actually liked the ‘vibe’ of Wally boys the most - but from where we live St O is the easiest commute and DS liked it the most, so he went there.

Acquaintances have a son at Wally’s and are happy.
