Residential trip

My DD’s year, Y8, are going on a 5-day residential. It’s also on the weekend and will be after end of year exams. I just came back from work abroad, so I haven’t filled in forms and now i fear it might be too late. DD doesn’t want to miss out all her friends are going but I have emailed her Head of Year and she hasn’t sent any details. Today she says they wrote their preferences with who she would be. I think all the medical forms are already meant to be sent so I don’t really know what to do? She has already told her friends she wants to be in a room with them but if she doesn’t go I don’t know what she will be doing in school. There won’t be any lessons. She also doesn’t want to be the only one missing out. This is a private school btw. In Year 7 the trips were £75 altogether. Is there anything to do apart from keep waiting for response?

Can you call the school office first thing in the morning and explain?

@alexinnumberland , I'm sure it will be fine, they will have worked out the budget with everyone attending and they will have to offer your dd schooling if she doesn't go so it's much easier for the school if she does go on the trip.

When did the form come out? Aren't these things usually planned way ahead in order for deposits to be paid etc?
