Eton 2025 tranche 2 result

Hi all,
I'm waiting for the result of Eton tranche 2 for my DS, I was told from Eton that they will send it w/c 1st May most likely end of the week. I know someone who got an email with positive news (congratulations!) and she said she got it yesterday.
My question is, is there anyone who received negative news in email yesterday? If it's negative, I assume they should have sent it also on Friday - or normally Eton doesn't send it when it's not positive?
We will call admission office to follow them up next week, but waiting for a month and another couple of days is not easy. Any clues/tips and experiences, much appreciated.
We are living in the UK so not the one from overseas applications.

All quiet on the Western front too for us. I have a suspicion the boys who were very strong in all area maybe get faster answers as it’s a bit more clear cut. Whereas boys who maybe were strong in some but not so strong in others need a bit more consideration.

Same here. Don't know if still there are chance then? Because if it's definite No, they should have sent something on Friday?

Just heard a good news from Winchester on last Thursday but nothing from Eton yet. It is not easy to wait -.

Good for you to have a nice plan B, Wincol is also very good school. Knowing that your DS is well qualified to get pass from Wincol, current situation from Eton seems not be very negative I guess. Just wonder why some received on Friday and the others not yet, there will be no leadtime to send emails if results are already there... fingers crossed and good luck for you.
