I am planning to buy a house however confused on location to buy as I would like my child to go to one of the grammar schools like Borlase , Highycombe .

Can you please share your thoughts ? I also work out of London so want to buy house at lovation having good train like cross rail to London.

Which area woulf be good to buy house ? Marlow, Talpow or Maidenhead ? I also want to have backup of good secondary school if in case we are unable to get admission in grammar.

Hope to get expert opinions from all of you lovely people in this group

Maybe repost with a more catching title, such as 'Best area to live for Borlase Grammar, Bucks' or whatever?
What if they don't get into grammar?

If you want a Bucks grammar school then live in Buckinghamshire and ideally as close to the school as possible!

Of course the house prices are inflated in these areas though.

Marlow would be my choice but the transport connections into London aren’t great. The secondary modern in Marlow is also good if your DC doesn’t pass.

High Wycombe has much more affordable housing and great travel connections but I’m not sure about the secondary moderns.

Amersham is also a great option with access to Challoners and Amersham School.
