School website - good examples

I've been tasked with revamping the information on our school site which is an information dump. I complained about it at a parent council meeting and have been tasked with the overhaul. Lesson learned... keep quiet.

Can you share some good examples of school websites that work well for you and why. I think I know what we need but some examples would be good.

Look at similar schools
Look at those in your catchment that are likely to attract pupils you may want to attract.

I think there is info you legally have to provide on a web site. So look up what the government says! Then look at what information “sells” the school and is informative.

if you are solely a parent, and not a member of staff, this really should not be your task. There is minimum info required but this task is down to SLT in keeping with the school’s strategic plan. So you saying something should never have led to this. I’d just provide a list of good practice but they won’t thank you for it and you don’t seem to have the necessary info.
