Clyst Vale community college

Hi, does anyone have any experience of Clyst Vale community college? Is it a good school? Any bullying etc? Thanks

There's a 'mums in exeter' Facebook page which you could use to ask this question anonymously? Maybe ask for positives and not so positives are general slagging offs of schools are not encouraged you could always DM anyone with further questions.

No direct experience I'm afraid but a friend has had 2 dc go or went there and seem to have given good reviews. Some of DC1 primary school class went there, Yr 7, of the parents I have spoken to most seem happy with it. Is that where you have been allocated for Sept 23?

It's an in year admission place I have applied for. It used to be requires improvement a couple of years ago which is why I'm a bit concerned it might be not good. My DS currently goes to an outstanding school, but he has found it awful, with rude insulting teachers and fights everyday as well as extreme bullying he copes with everyday. He's been beaten up multiple times there. I hope that Clyst Vale is a better school, because his current school is utterly appauling.

It’s had a recent good Ofsted and I hear good things about it. I think they’re quite full. Are there any others you’d consider?Are you moving from a school beginning with U?

Yes, moving from a school that begins with U... I'd also consider other schools around the same area, but most seem to have a bad rep... Clyst Vale intrigues me as it seems alright
