Hello,
Just looking for advice really. Are the tests for Graveney, Tiffin & the Sutton grammars all different? Do people normally tutor for all of them if possible? Do tutors cover all? I found some tutors in Sutton but the schedules are crazy tbh!

The exams are all different. I don't know about Graveney but T and S probably do require tutoring. The tests will be based on the whole of the KS2 curriculum, but the exams take place at the start of y6 so obviously most schools won't have covered the stuff.
The schedules are crazy because it's a very competitive exam! You don't necessarily need to hire someone though, but past papers are an excellent idea. You could take your child through them yourself.

I don't know Tiffin and only the Sutton boys. Also my information is two years out of date.

Sutton first stage is reasoning - all four of VR, NVR, QR, SA. Doing well in these tests qualifies you for a place at Wallington and a second stage assessment (written answers, I think maths and English) at SGS/Wilson's.

Graveney is reasoning but only VR, NVR.

So prepping on all four types of reasoning would be enough for both Graveney and Sutton first stage.

Boy or girl?

First stage for all in Sutton then there is a second girls test that covers wallington girls and nonsuch.

Greenshaw you can apply with just a first stage pass.

Wallington boys I think is also first stage only and the other boys need a second stage.

It changed this year (for Sept 2023 entry).

There is now a shared second stage for all three of the boys schools, SGS/Wallington Boys/Wilson’s.

I thought Sutton first stage was English and Maths multiple choice? It was in Sept 22 anyway.

11plussupport · 30/03/2023 17:29

Sutton stage one ( SET) is maths and English multiple choice and has been for many years.
As said upthread Wallington boys have now gone back to a shared stage 2 with sutton Grammar and Wilsons
