Birmingham Ormiston Academy

Hello,

My son has just found out that he’s got a place at Birmingham Ormiston Academy, (Creative Media pathway) starting in September for year 10.

I don’t know anyone else who goes there so am looking for any feedback from anyone who’s child has attended.

Any info gratefully received!

A friend of my DS and DD went there and she is now in a major role in one of the West End Musicals ( and has been since the Autumn).

My DC know quite a few who have been there or are there, but also some who are very talented who didn't make it.

Those we know who have been have all enjoyed it and most have gone on to Higher Ed in the performing arts and / or directing/technical.

Some have gone for Year 9 and some for Year 12. The person we know who is now starring in the WE went for Year 12/13 having been at grammar school prior to that.

They seem to have a great record - one of their ex pupils just won an Oscar!
