Portishead and Gordano School

Hello! We're really thinking about moving from Bristol to Portishead - mainly for the Secondary school, Gordano. Would really like a school that's good on the academic side but also good for extra-curricular stuff - Drama, the Arts and ideally Duke of Edinburgh type stuff. Want a nice place for my daughters to grow up in where we could hopefully all be happy.

I don't think it is any better than many of the Bristol secondary schools, and hasn't had an Ofsted for over ten years.
Depending on where you are in Bristol, I'm not sure that it would be worth the cost of moving.

Perhaps arrange a visit? It is a good school and does offer all that you have listed.

I know a few children that attend and they have had to date a positive experience.

Thankyou for your replies. I have arranged a visit. Gordano has always had a really good reputation. It is a bit of a shame it hasn't had an Ofsted visit for so long. Can anyone tell me anything else positive about it? X
