UCS sixth form - girls

Looking at potential sixth forms for DD currently in Y10. We are in Herts but due to husband and new job he will be working in Hampstead so getting her there and back is a doddle.

Anyone got a daughter there and how are they finding it? Particularly maths, computer science, physics interests? Also loves and participates in drama and hockey to a high level.

DD currently at a fabulous school which has a sixth form but it’s all girls and she’s veering towards coed at sixth form. We know what our more local options are and two look good. From the website UCS looks like a really good fit both academically and co-curricular but we know nothing about it due to location.

It’s a terrific school - we are local and know lots of lovely DC there and who have been there. I wouldn’t hesitate to enter DD for the assessment (also Y10 and seeking a change after GCSEs) but she says she wants a college rather than a school so we will be looking at Brampton instead. Several friends of hers are likely to try for UCS, living nearby and in some cases having brothers there. I hope someone will come along and tell you specifics about the sciences, drama, hockey etc! Good luck with whatever direction she decides on.
