Secondary school specialised in creative or fine arts/drawing

Hello everyone

Could anyone recommend a secondary school that specialised in visual arts or fine arts/drawing / making.

We have 12 years old twin boys with EHCP plan are really passionate about arts, drawing and making but not good at academic studies especially Maths, would be great if there is a school that they could focus on what they are interested.

We are based in West London Hammersmith area, but we can consider travel or relocate if the school is really good.

To the detriment of other subjects - are you thinking private or state?

State chestnut grove in Balham has an arts specialism. It's additional art lessons for those 30 in each year selected for their art ability - but not so they miss other lessons.

You could look at a Steiner or liberty woodland in Morden way. They would be more creative focussed.

Hi, does anyone have children at Hammersmith Academy 6th form? Considering it for my daughter but interested to know if you’d recommend it?

Queens Park Community School have a very strong arts department, plus music and drama. We’re not there yet but that’s why we’re choosing it.

Brit school have an entry point at 14 and one of the strands is visual art and design.

I believe Kingsdale in SE London has a strong Arts Department. Our son who goes there is allergic to Art so I can't help much but I do believe it's highly regarded. They have specific extra clubs for Art Scholars, as well as for those who simply have an interest.
