A level end of year exam dates

Hi
my child is in an independant school , Year 12 does anyone know what date the end of year exams start and finish please ?

They start 8.32am 17 May and finish at 12.45 on 2 July, unless you are also taking Welsh and then its a week later.

How will anyone here know?!

Ask the school...

Year 12 exams are set by the school. They can be absolutely any time. Have you checked the school website?
Otherwise you're going to have to ask either the school or your child.

why wouldn’t someone else know ?this is an education forum so there must be a lot of parents with year 12 kids that might be able to answer my question

No, year 12 exams are set by each school individually. Some schools will have Y12 exams in May. Others may go as late as the end of June. You will have to ask you child’s school what their dates are.

A level and AS dates are available from the exam board websites.

Year 12 exams are internal unless AS level, so each school sets their own timetable.

Ime even if they do take public exams in year 12 they return to teaching for rest of term.

Are you serious? If you are in wales, I believe you have AS exams still, in which case they will be public exam dates. Otherwise,how could possibly imagine that anyone else would know your child's school's internal summer exam dates?

Have you tried looking on your school's online calendar?

And if it is AS levels that your DD is taking, rather than internal exams, all the details should be on the school's website, too, as the timetable for GCSEs and GCEs has been published.

You just wanted to tell us your DC is in a private school didn't you?
