My year 12 son seems to have misplaced his scientific calculator. We got the last one via school. He has a test coming up and I need to try and replace it by then. Does anyone know where I can purchase one in person?

WH Smith I think.

I’m sure I saw them in a larger Tesco too.

Might be worth a quick call to the school as often lessons are set up with one calculator in mind... if you get something fancy, the button combinations to get certain functions working might not be the same and he'll be lost in class.

Having said that, it's usually a Casio, and I'd imagine all recent ones work similarly so...

It's a Texas Instruments one - have attached picture below as the box is still there

You would be better online.
Ryman might if you have a big one near you, but I suspect Amazon will be your quickest option.

Ryman online did next day collection in store when I recently had to order a specific Casio scientific calculator for DD. Cheaper and quicker than options on Amazon

We order them through the school parent pay and the child picks it up from the maths office. Get it cheaper as they bulk buy. Maybe see if your school does this?

Assuming that this is the one the school recommends so everyone has the same, if you can't find one in time, can he borrow one from a Year 13 or someone in a different maths class (assuming they are not all taking the test at the same time)?

Thank you everyone! My son already hates him for "making" him do HL Maths for IB so this is something else to add to the list of things have failed him on (he blames the cleaner).

Yes he told me this morning he can get it from school and it will be added to our bill. Found one on Amazon for £25 more that would arrive by tomorrow but seems he is sorted
