We are looking at applying to Beechen Cliff for our son and we are out of area so I don't know of anyone in RL with a son there.

If your son attends there, can I ask your opinion on it please?

What do you want to know specifically?
I have ds in year 10. He likes it. It's strong on sport, pretty good on discipline. They are part of the Midsomer Norton schools partnership so have shared methods.
It's hard to compare to other Bath schools where friends have children as they are all happy with their choices.

Thank you for your reply.

The sport aspect is what is drawing us to the school as DS plays a variety of sport now and would love to do more. How is it academically? DS is a clever boy but definately needs a bit of a push to reach his potential. On their website they say they know how boys learn so can support them. The exam result statistics are very good and better than our other option of school.

We haven't been for a look around yet but hoping too soon.

Hi, out of the schools I chose Somervale. Somervale has been a fantastic school for my son. He has made lasting friends and he is a lot cleverer than me his mother which is a good thing. The school has done well with offsted and the school has always been so helpful when I have needed them. Somervale is a smaller school which I think is a good thing they do well with grades. They do a week of different day trips in the warmer weather which my son really enjoys. His friends he has made are a lovely group, I am so pleased I chose Somervale, thank you
