EPQ Artefact - grades

Just that, really. DC is looking at doing the EPQ but is also doing a lot of NEA heavy A-levels so is considering the artefact option. Is this considered as positively as the 'normal' EPQ and is the bar for achieving A/A* equal across the two?

It’s the same effort required, it’s just the essay word count needed is less to make up for the time taken creating the artefact.
