Hi everyone. We very luckily have an offer at Highgate for 11+ and are struggling to choose between it and UCS. Some of the facilities in the older part of the school are a bit tatty and they don't have snazzy 6th form facilities like UCS does, but they are working on planning permission in to do extensive works that would really bring the facilities up to scratch. The issue is how long it will take to get approval, and then how long it would take to do the works, and what the disruption would be for the kids in the meantime.

Does anyone have any knowledge of the situation, or any experience of what it was like for the children when they re-did the junior school? If the building works are going to last for most of my DS's time at school and they're put in temporary classrooms then it's a definite issue...

Hello. My son is 7 years old and we would like him to attend Highgate School when he is 11+. Please share your experience on how to prepare a child. We live in NW8. Maybe you can recommend a private school that could increase his chances of getting into a good senior school? Currently, he is attending a state school and we are also doing home-based studying with tutors

Hello, my dd recently did the interviews for the 16+ to Highgate. We haven’t received results yet but I was just wondering if it is a good sixth form and whether it is worth staying at a private school for sixth form. I also wanted to ask if getting into Highgate for sixth form is very difficult as it is her top choice.
