Hi, anyone know which secondary school is better, Lode Heath and Light Hall School? any comments on these two schools? Thanks

Lode Heath is much better, part of the Arden Trust.
Light Hall is appalling, very toxic and egotistical leadership team. Most staff are extremely unhappy there

Out of those two Lode Health. That is my old school and whilst it has never been the best school in the area it is not the worst.

My sister taught for a number of years at Light Hall, she has very little to say that is positive. It now generally pulls from outside the area.

Are those your only two options? They are quite far apart and other schools are in-between.

My sister also taught at Lode Heath (she didn't go there herself), she left for career progression, she left Light Hall for the reasons Hunter mentioned. It is sad to hear though that this may still be the case.

I am not familiar with the schools in this area. Apart from TG, Alderbrook and Arden, is there any other good? I'm planning to move, try to find a place in that catchment area. Thanks

They are the best three in the area but house prices reflect that. Lode Heath is ok, Langley School is also ok, avoid Light Hall and Lyndon.

Catholic wise it is St Peters, but I don't think that is as good as it was in my day.

Thanks for your reply.

I found the catchment area showing in Solihull Council website and Locrating is different, do you know which one is the right one? Is that remote catchment area having probability to get places from the TG or Alderbrook?

The council will be correct.

The chance of getting in TGA from remote catchment is getting smaller and smaller when more and more people moved in the new build in Blythe Valley. For Alderbrook, chance are still good for remote catchment.

From local community page, seems Lode heath is going down trend in recent years while Lighthall is catching up. Talk with more local for update information.

Alderbrook, Arden and St Peters the best. Life Health ok.
