Habs Girls vs SHHS

We are lucky in that my daughter is holding offers from both these schools, please can I ask current parents for their experiences? Travel to both would be similar, althoug obviously Habs is coach and SHHS would be public transport. She is sporty and enjoys drama.

DD is at SHHS. Couldn't be happier with the school. V happy for you to DM me. There are plenty of drama opportunities. DD did drama club in Yr 7 and they put on a fabulous drama evening of playlets. There are junior/senior and whole school productions by audition whereas the drama club was for all. There is also very strong debating with lots of opportunities if your DD would like to do that. There are plenty of sports clubs and opportunities to compete. DD competes at a high level at one sport but had never played the another but they put on matches for all the teams (possibly A-G?!) and also for the girls who had never played that sport before like my DD. So everyone feels involved. It feels like there is room for those who want to be super competitive or the best at something but also for those that just want to play a sport or join in with a club for fun, and everyone is appreciated which I really like about the school.

DD1 had offers at Habs and SHHS a few years ago. We took Habs and have never regretted our choice. DD2 now also goes to Habs.
Both DD1 and DD2 are playing 2 different sports at competitive level and are super happy with the school's facility and clubmates. DD2 also likes drama and she says it is one of the best clubs at Habs.

DDs take coach to school and really enjoy it as they can talk with other girls on the way to school.

DD goes to SHHS. I cannot speak of drama because DD is not interested in it but she is a bit disappointed with the sport clubs SHHS has to offer. DD is also sporty (she played all the sports that the boys played at her primary school) but she feel other girls at SHHS are too shy to play with and she loses interest in some sports due to it.

Thanks for your opinions. My DD favours Habs because she thinks the sport is better there -sounds like she may be correct. So I think that is probably what we will go for.
