Tiffin Girls 2023

Anyone else biting nails for 1st March? - DD has an offer from couple other independent schools but Tiffin is our top choice . We live in the inner catchment of Tiffin so I am bullish but aware of the competition! Anyone here living in Inner area who made it to Stage 2 but didn’t get an offer ? Curious if there are any statistics . Most nervous about being put on the waitlist and not having certainly for some time !

Hello ladies. I hope you both had good news about your daughters! I am starting my nail biting now, as my daughter is considering Tiffin for next year. Would any of you be able to give me tips, things to consider?
To top it all off, we will need to move in the area, so currently looking at properties.
Any tips would be most welcome.
Thank you in advance.

@xeniaonatop, the best advice is for your dd to sit the Sutton mocks this summer to see where she sits in the cohort. You may be too late to get a place. See the Surrey forum section on www.elevenplusexams.co.uk. Otherwise get her assessed by a tutor if you are seriously considering moving to the area to get a place.

@xeniaonatop A lot , and I emphasise a lot depends where you live. Tiffin girls have some preferred Kingston secondary schools that are feeders. Not formally, but the acceptance rate at those schools is as high as 7- 10 percent. The best thing is to look at Kingston, Richmond, New Malden and Wocester Park schools at the Leavers Destination web page of each of the schools to see how many girls went to Tiffin Girls. You will find that majority of the accepted girls were from Kingston. There is also this website " Right to Know" where the parents officially request a particular school to provide that information. Also, you will find there some requests to Tiffin school to respond, cases of bullying adressed etc.
I hope that you have very resiliant girls because from what I heard from Tiffin parents and also friends of Tiffin parents... Tiffin Schools are for the toughest kids. Most of the kids are tutored several times a week to survive and the pressure applied by the teachers is immense.
