Godolphin & Latymer 2023 waitlist

We got stuck on a waitlist position at G&L but it’s our preferred school as we live close to it. The school is not divulging much information at this stage. From past experience, do all second stage interview students manage a waitlist position or do some get a firm no? And does the waitlist slowly move all through the summer or do things sort out in March itself? Is it common for girls to not be offered a seat after being waitlisted at G&L?

Hi, I’m in the same position for March 2024. Daughter has been waitlisted for G&L. At what point did you hear back from them? On the last day of the deadline before or after? How may students are waitlisted annually?

@Maplegurl we are in the same position! Have you heard anything yet? Not sure how many girls are on the waitlist.

Hi both, my DD is in year 7 at g&L. she was not on the WL but we know some girls that were and experience has been diverse. One got through some did not. I understand that last year close to the deadline the school had released a part of the WL based on the acceptance they have had to date. They may have kept the first 1/3 or 1/2 *that is pure speculation though..
Have you called them to try to find out where your girls is on the list?

@Lolakath19 thanks but they haven’t divulged where and how many on the WL! From what I’ve heard, they usually don’t have to dip too much into it.

They haven’t told us where we are on WL. But I hear this year more than usually parents are really waiting until the last minute to respond to offers. Unfortunately, our second choice school deadline is March 4, and GL is March 5. I’ve let go of all our other offers. Hopefully, other people will do the same. Is GL worth it?

If i were u I would call on Monday saying you have a hard deadline today and you need to know how your chances look like. They should be honest about it. They will have an idea of how many accept vs how many place they have and how many they are awaiting.

Yes, last year they released some on the waitlist. I can’t remember who stayed I think the top half.

I agree with the comments below- do call register on Monday and explain your situation. We have a friend released the g&l offer yesterday so hopefully there will be some movement early next week! Good luck!! 🤞🏻

There was no movement this year on the wl, they said to a friend that all their classes were full.
Might be a few coming in the summer or when grammar places open and trickled down

Hi did anyone here get a place from the waiting list? My daughter was waitlisted just now and I'm puzzled. Did anyone get an offer before the acceptance deadline in March? Our second choice school has a deadline on 4 March. Thank you
