Move up a school year in secondary

Not should you but legally can you request to move a child UP a school year in secondary school?

I have asked admissions at the LA but the reply email says they are very busy and it may take some time to reply etc etc.

I realise that it would mean the child MUST be in education for the year after they leave secondary school as they would still be 15.

Thanks.

I don't know why you'd do it but in terms of going to Uni at 17, loads of Scottish kids do. There are a few courses you need to be 18 to do but most you don't,

If you're going to Scottish universities, then yes there will be many others. But it's not common elsewhere, and as so many bars and clubs are really hot on ID-ing people, then aspects of social life might be closed to them for a while.
