How do we apply?

Just a musing.... when I moved to secondary school in 1996, I recall being given a bit of paper in class to tick my preferred choice.

Is it still done this way or do parents apply online in the same way we do for primary?

Online. Same concept exactly!

Technically it is possible usually to do it on paper, but it's vastly preferred to do it online.

Just bear in mind a much earlier deadline - end of October.

Online, in the september/October of Yr6. Chose 3-5 schools (depending on area). Get your allocation in March.

I remember it was paper form in 1997, then choosing from the offers.

I was really just checking we can be involved in the process rather than letting the 10 year old choose without any guidance!

So it's an October '23 deadline for the sept 24 entry? So apply the first month of year 6?

Yes - end of oct for the next sept intake.
