Issues with school communications through operoo child arrangement order

Hi there, our school uses operoo to communicate with us as parents. my children's mother and I are seperated and have a child arrangement order in place. there is no restraint and no indication of abuse from either parent. Our school says that they cannot use operoo to communicate when an order is in place, has anyone else experienced this?

Unless there is something in the CAO preventing one parent from receiving updates from the school, I can't see any reason for this. I would ask them for their justification.

I think it may be a technical issue - if I remember correctly, though we didn't go with it in the end, there can only be one account per child on operoo so they can't set you up as 2 separate accounts. I think the main account holder can give access to another, so if you get on, maybe that's the way to do it?

Thank you

the school says its an operoo decision, it just doesn't seem right and causes the school a headache having to send all communications through other channels.
thank you for your reply

If Operoo only allows one account per child as PatriciaHolm says, that is poor. They need to improve their software. But there is nothing the school can do about it other than point out to Operoo that this is an unacceptable limitation that makes it hard for schools to fulfil their legal obligations to separated parents.
