Teen handwriting resources

Can anyone recommend any decent resources for a teenager to practise cursive writing? DS has shocking handwriting that he can hardly read himself, so I've suggested just a few minutes a day to improve it so he can actually read his notes.

Some of the things I've seen on Amazon are a bit flowery with loops and things that I think could actually make it worse.

Would he be better off learning to touch type and then using the notes app on a phone or using an iPad? You can also use speech to text which works well.

I have a DD who has hypermobile finger joints which makes writing very difficult and painful. She's used tech for everything since Y6.

Interesting. I suspect DS2 will need to do this - he's just had a diagnosis of ASD and ADHD and his writing is also very difficult to read. He's going to have a transcriber for his SATs. I hadn't considered this for DS1 as he doesn't have a diagnosis. Does your DD not use exercise books at all?

Not as far as I can see.

She uses an iPad with keyboard and e-pen, so if there are worksheets or graphs, she just takes a photo and works on that.

She's severely dyslexic as well, so the tech was a no brainer. It's made an enormous difference. Went from failing everything (unsurprising when she struggled to write 2 sentences) to top sets (and writes pages and pages).

Homework is all online or emailed in anyway so that is also easier when typed.

Was no problem at school - she turned up on day 1 at Secondary and just said "I use a laptop" and that was that. She has one for exams as it's her normal way of working.
