Brighton College Staff Dress Code

Posting here as more traffic than
in the Staffroom.
Family member is hoping to get an interview for a teaching post at Brighton College. Can anyone help with pointers for the female staff usual dress. Suits expected? Less formal dress/jacket acceptable? Dress code in the current independent school she is in have become more relaxed in recent years and suits no longer common except maybe SLT. Other staff mainly in midi dress/ jacket or smart trousers. Anyone able to give pointers? Many thanks.

I’d say regardless of the dress code, I’d always go smarter for interview anyway. Not sure what it’s like in schools, but in my office the usual dress code is quite casual, but if I was up for promotion I’d put a jacket on! If she wants to be a bit quirky with it, maybe a bit of colour, or some funky jewellery - I get the impression Bright College is quite formal though. We visited a few years ago.

I am a teacher in Brighton, sixth form - not Brighton College but I know the school well. I would go super smart. Best of luck! Can I ask what subject you teach ... we have a few vacancies. Just had Ofsted and achieved outstanding.....happy place to work too Daffodil
