King's Maths School parents - would you recommend it?

We are mid application
So far not massively impressed
Test organisation was fairly shambolic
I'm now being hassled to complete a form I've already submitted (have email acknowledgement)
Does it improve?

Sorry, I don't have an answer, but curious to find out. So joining the thread.

It's unlikely you will find any answer here though. Last few questions on King's Maths here have gone unanswered, so probably not many active parents here with DC in KCLMS

Studentroom has good information on the school, albeit not from the parents perspective. Threads there don't discuss the logistics/admin problems you are facing. They mostly talk about the school experience from student perspective.

Here is one for example - www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=5670402

Thanks

Maybe it's just sloppy admin but the practice paper and answers for the test also contained a mistake which was less than ideal

We are one term in and so far it's been good
It is providing the academic challenge we were looking for
The staff are very focussed on pastoral matters and ensuring the kids have a balance of non academic activities too

You can see the college and meet the teachers on enrolment day
We have had parents evening and also a social get together for parents, children and teachers

Just an update for any prospective parents reading this. The ‘parents evening’ is not actually a parents evening but a 10 minute Zoom call with the form tutor who doesn’t teach your child. Communication with parents is terrible. I have not met any staff from the school, and as anyone applying probably knows they don’t answer emails and the person who answers the phone doesn’t know anything.
