Hi all, just looking for advice, tips or thoughts on home schooling and private tutoring. How many people do it? Was it worth it? What was missing?.... etc

OP posts:

There is a Home Ed section on MN under Education.

I tutor my subject privately OP and since it is not maths, for example (which a number of school students seek help with), most of my tutees are home edded.

It has worked really well over the years and I have supported a lot of students to good grades at GCSe (or more commonly iGCSE) and A level. So yes, a significant number of people do it (for a variety of reasons IME) and it is certianly possible to cover what is needed. Requires a good deal of commitment from the student tho.
