Trampolining in P.E

What exactly happens in trampoline lessons in a KS3 P.E lesson?

My daughter has a health issue which I am concerned may be aggravated by this activity.

When I was at school (20 years ago), trampolining in PE involved standing around the edge of a trampoline (to catch anyone who fell off?!) while the girls who did gymnastics or trampolining as an extra curricular showed off and then everyone else got a couple of minutes each to have a go doing a pike.

I hope it's got better since then!

unless someone happens to work at the school your daughter attends, no one can tell you.

this is a question for the school PE department, not mumsnet.

You need to speak to the PE department. If she has a health issue which can be made worse by exercise then you should really be speaking to them about the whole curriculum.

Donkey's years ago we had to stand around the edge while each child took one minute on the trampoline. Each child got up, bounced a few times then had to get off.

Me too. I would have loved to do trampolining more seriously but no chance at my school. One or two minutes bouncing away then get off. No instruction, just bounce. I hated my PE teacher.

Pretty much this. I was one of the gymnastic/trampolining kids though 😂

just speak to the PE department if you have concerns OP. They are usually very helpful!
