St John’s school or Epsom College

Hi all, we have received offers from both schools for DD sixth form. I was wondering if anyone could give insight on any differences between the two schools, as they seem to be very similar, I was hoping the differences would help in our decision!
I’m particularly interested in the difference between A level results; Epsom performs slightly better whereas they are almost on par for GCSEs. What could be the difference for the A level’s grade dipping for St John’s?
Thanks 🙏

Hi @swappingwellies

re:Epsom
ive a DS at the school and my DD is sitting this year.

I have nothing but incredible things to say about the school. My DS is in year 9. I was worried about the long day and Saturday school but he’s thriving. A great group of friends and has grade improvements across the board but most importantly he’s extremely happy.

there’s a strong parents group that we’ve been involved with both mums/dads.

Im enjoying the journey as much as he is and can’t tell you how kind the staff have been to my boy.

it’s down to your child at the end of the day and where they would feel most comfortable.

The children I’ve met at epsom are quietly confident, quirky, intelligent and very well mannered. They are fun to be around and very inclusive.

I'm positive that St Johns is just as lovely but I can only speak for Epsom.

Where do you find this report online please? Thanks

@GT31 , you can find it on the ISI website but since then
ISI revisited in 2022 under a new head
The school had a terrible tragedy
The school had Anthony Seldon as a temporary head
In Sept 24 the school got a new permanent head.

It's a very very popular school (despite) all of above.
