Hall School, Wimbledon, Ewell Castle and Cedars

Hi everyone,

We are considering The Hall School, Wimbledon, Ewell Castle and Cedars School for our son.

Does anyone have children at these schools?

We went to look at Ewell Castle and to be honest weren’t enamoured with it. We still need to go to The Hall and Cedars.

Any insights are very welcome!

Child in y7 at hall school Wimbledon and we are generally very pleased so far. Child is happy, making progress and is growing in confidence. Newish headmaster is great, very enthusiastic and positive, and a visible presence around the school. Very accessible for parents and willing to listen and learn.

Central organisation (eg notifications about sports fixtures, parents eve) could definitely be better but from talking to others higher up the school significant (positive) changes are being implemented all the time about these kind of issues. I've also heard complaints about the food but not from my child!

Of course we are only a few weeks in but we are very pleased with our decision so far. HTH

Thanks so much for your reply, it’s very helpful. I have so far only heard positive things about The Hall School since the new headmaster started.
The year group sizes do worry me though, as it is such a small school it might be limiting friendship wise 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sorry I'm about 9 months late, but I have 2 sons at The Cedars!
