We are currently going through the admissions process for Glenthorne High School. My daughter attended the Performing Arts Workshops (Dance, Music & Drama) across two dates in October 2022, of which she was successful in all three.
She is also due to sit the banding tests later this month (November 2022). There is not much information given, in preparation for the tests. I do realise this maybe because Glenthorne is not an academically selective school.
I am aware that the the tests are multiple choice, based on Key Stage 2 curriculum and does not include verbal and non verbal reasoning questions. Also the Maths & English tests are each 40 minutes long.
I wonder if anyone knows much about the tests or has any info or feedback from their children who have previously sat the tests in recent years. Such as how many questions per paper and whether the children found the tests hard or average?
I have been told that in previous years there were only 15 questions but I don't know if this has changed across 2020 & 2021. Be helpful know this too?
