We are moving into the area and this is looking like the school DD will be starting at in Sept- would love any local insider knowledge and thoughts about it as obviously we know very little!

I have a year 11 there. Very happy with the school for her. Excellent facilities, extra circular clubs and support for the girls. The head is very good and the education is too. Many teachers stay there many years which is telling.

As an inner London school it has its issues. Diverse mix of girls and there will always be some trouble. Diversity is not totally reflective of the locality as it attracts girls from a wide area - also has an attraction to those wanting single sex.

But mine is happy there - she is doing well and they have helped her where required.

I have a DD at Burntwood and it's a very good school. My DD is very happy there and has made a number of good friends that all live locally.

As PP says it has a good range of extracurricular activities and if your DD is sporty the school is one of the few qualifying schools for Wimbledon ball girls which I hear from parents is an amazing experience for those who get through the trials.

Burntwood also has a local reputation for being strong in art. They have many state school kids who come from other schools to Burntwood for A-levels to do arts subjects including Photography.

I thought this school was in Tooting?

Have heard good things about it. But no personal experience.
