Vicky Bingham has given notice that she is to leave SHHS to become the new head of NLCS. I really liked Vicky, sorry to see her go.

Do we know who will become the new Head of SHHS?

bjmin · 01/11/2022 17:39

I do not know.

She’s done wonders for SHHS and has restored it to its former high standing. Hasn’t nlcs been without a head since Sarah Clark left? I guess they must have made her an offer she couldn’t refuse!

NLCS head left suddenly in April. Seems like there's a lot of work to do there.

Do you know why the last nlcs head left?

Thanks………although I’m still none the wiser! 😂

I love Vicky Bingham. She is just brilliant and very brave on speaking out in a down to earth but highly intelligent way.

Lucky NLCS - and just what it needs. I imagine she was always going to want a SPGS or equivalent next headship. Also GDST had the big wobble with pensions / finances.

@Sitdownnigel i don’t think you will find your answer on here I am afraid. We are delighted with the appointment, as for “a lot of work to do there” let’s not be dramatic.

Who exactly are "we"? NLCS school board?

Yep

Yep

Congrats! Vicky is superb. Excellent choice. And you got her to leave whilst her own DD is still at SHHS, impressive.

Damn it! I really want to know 🤣🤣

OMG I adore VIcky Bingham. DD was at SHHS sixth form and it was a fantastic 2 years under Vicky's leadership despite covid. I'm a huge fan of her and delighted her leadership has been recognised in SHHS getting Independent Girls School of the year and now her appt to NLCS. NLCS is very lucky indeed.

Well done with the appointment! From one great school to another great school. Your post sounded a bit cryptic though

Coronateachingagain · 06/11/2022 09:31

There is no drama in saying there is a bit of work to do in there, especially when there is.

weRone · 12/11/2022 12:40

What kind of work needs to be done at NLCS, have read the other thread but it's all rather cryptic? Can someone please enlighten me?

namechangeforSHHS · 12/11/2022 15:49

@weRone I can only imagine people are referring to the bad press NLCS got in respect of the 2021 A'Level results.
