We are moving to the cotswolds and at the moment looking at a property in broadway. My children would travel to bredon academy for middle school then prince henry high school. Does anyone have any experience of these schools in evesham worcester? Im not sure whether to send them here or live in a neighbouring village so they go to gloucestershire schools. Any advice or knowledge of the schools much appreciated.

I don't know about those two schools, but I do k ow that The Cotswold School in Bourton is considered to be one of the best schools around. Burford school is also excellent.

If DC ate very clever you should also look at Pates Grammar in Cheltenham

Hi I have just moved to broadway and I am having this same dilemma. From what I have been told that bredon hill academy is a very good school as is prince Henry’s school people around the evesham areas are focused on trying to get there children into prince Henry’s.
mum daughter is currently at the pre school at broadway first school and she has absolutely thrived. They are a very friendly school and have a lovely family feel.
we are not in the catchment for the Bourton school if you lived in Moreton you would be in the catchment, the other alternative from broadway is to send your children to one of the primary schools locally so that they can go onto chipping campden high school which is also very good, the primary schools would be willersey, st James chipping campden, st Mary’s broadway although this a catholic school they do accept children of all faiths and blockley either way they are both good schooling routes it just depends on what you would prefer!
I do know that bredon hill academy starts school at 8 am and they have to catch the bus there around 7.15 and they are that little bit younger as well at the age of ten catching the bus which is something that I did worry about.

Gosh sorry Ive only just seen these replies!
Thats good to know they are good schools. I just wondered though if we went with a school like say St James in Chipping campden would that mean they will definately get a place at the secondary school, as in broadway we would be out of catchment. Id hate for them to be split from friends and sent to a different seniors.
Blimey 7.15 bus is early! Funnily enough the idea of getting a bus to school by himself was what has sold this move to my 10 year old.

Our house sale fell through last minute but we are selling again and looking to move in the summer. I hope you are enjoying living in broadway?
