Can anyone tell me how far down the reserve list they were and still got a place? Not sure whether to advise my child to hang on in there or to start seriously planning for an alternative.

Do you mind my asking how this panned out re the reserve list? We have applied but will be a lottery place as out of catchment. Thanks !

Last year my daughter was 173 on the waiting list and got a place. I think they went into the 200s.

Ah good to hear thank you. Another question - is it that case that you might well not get some or all of your subject choices if you do get a place ? Thank you!

I think that is a risk but not common. My dd got all her subjects despite being on the waiting list, and her subjects were quite popular ones (though not as popular as, say, psychology).

BTW she is really pleased with Esher, and progressing well there.
