Coombe Boys School

We are considering Coombe Boys for DS. He’s quite academic and I would love any current views on the school. We are just out of catchment for Rutlish which I have been told is more academic?
I am hoping to get some insight how behaviour is, what the pastoral care is like and the teaching. DS is average at football which I have heard is a big part of the school? TIA

Hi, I know few months but did you decide on CB?

DS is still in year 5 - so no decision until the autumn for us

We will hopefully start in September. I have spoken to parents who are very happy with the school. Very well run with great pastoral care. Results going up year on year. Great drama and arts provision. They are also improving the facilities and have secured major investment to regenerate the school.

Hello! My son is happy there. Happy for you to PM me if you have any specific questions.

We chose Coombe for our son, he's year 8 now and I've always felt very confident in the school, its teachers and the head. Pastoral care is good, in my experience they are straight onto any issues, communication is strong. They have given my son specific support in some subjects. Lots of clubs too.
