Tutor for GHS / LEH parents recommendation

Morning,

Please if anyone has a tutor recommendation for ghs / leh please can you pm me?

I think maybe 1 on 1 is better? Rather than the small classes?

The girls school she goes to states she absolutely doesn’t need a tutor always gets top marks. However after the 11 plus shock of my son I do want her to have a tutor - I don’t have the time to help her - 3 other children to manage. Plus the English I have absolutely no idea on that - I’m rubbish 🤪

Apart from explore no one is willing to share the tutor names / contact details or state their tutor isn’t great I wouldn’t recommend them 😂So if anyone has had an amazing tutor to target the schools of leh / ghs please let me know your personal recommendations? 🤞

She is currently in yr 5.

Thank you so much and hope you have a lovely day x

Sorry I can't help but you need to study the info provided by the schools, GHS is a CEM test and LEH is ISEB pre test plus their own exam. You could probably cover a lot of this ground by trying out the Atom online resource.
The days of maths and English papers have gone for these 2 schools.

Two of my kids have just started with a tutor and we're really impressed so far (they came as a recommendation from my cousin who's been using them for about 2 years now!) They're called Tayberry

I’m several years on from this… but my advice is don’t tutor. If she can’t get in without tuition she’ll struggle in the long term unless it’s technique. My dd got in to year 3 without tutoring and thrived but those tutored girls really struggled in year 7 intake about 6 months down the line.

How are you getting on with them? I am thinking of starting with them. I spoke to them and they seem brilliant.

@boygirlmom Really great! Both my son and my daughter use them and they have very different needs. My son in particular has come on leaps and bounds - he's dyslexic and possibly got ADHD, and he loves his sessions with them. My daughter is a very conscientious student anyway and enjoys school, but she's really grown in confidence having worked with them X

They sound exactly like my sun and daughter too! What are their year groups?

@boygirlmom My son is in year 1, and he started a year ago during the summer term of reception. My daughter is just finishing year 5, but she started the easter of year 4 with them.
I should add, we actually started 11+ tutoring for my daughter from the September of year 4, but had several poor experiences with different tutors/tutoring companies.

Just started using them ... they are fantastic!!! Thank you so much for the rec.
