School absence-missed work

Dc too unwell to attend school today. Have followed school procedure and emailed to let them know this morning.

I'm just wondering, does you dc school send worksheets (or other work) missed on the day/s of absence? Been a very long time since I was in school, but it was a mixture of, parents could ask for work or otherwise you would borrow fellow classmates books to catch up.
Just to add, year 7 child who is now anxious having missed a day Sad

Procedure at DD's school was:

  • ask friends what was missed, especially any homework set
  • if necessary go to see the class teacher

What Teen said. Although I'd say "email the teacher" rather than go and see them as it may be a few days before they have the next lesson in that subject.
Also, make sure they do any homework.

IME experience, at secondary it's ask your friends (and borrow notes) and/or email the teacher.

Or just wait until the next lesson and ask then, depending on what subject and how often the lesson

Ah yes, when I said 'see the teacher' I meant pop along at the start of lunch. Definitely not wait until the next lesson when it is too late.

Thank you all, he can check for homework on class charts, which is good, and we'll take the approach of emailing teacher/asking peers what was missed in class.
